Minjur Seawater Desalination Plant:
This is the first Desalination Plants in India. Therefore, this has turned out really well to solve the water problem in Chennai. Also, this is the first Desalination Plants in Chennai too. The details are as follows:

Proposed Desalination Plant in Chennai (India):
There are two plants proposed in Chennai. One with a capacity of 150 million litres and other with a capacity of 400 million litres respectively. Also, the planned construction cost of the same is Rs 6,079 crore. The tenders are planned in 2021. Also, completion of this project is expected in 2024. Hence, this shall be a proud moment for people to have solution for their water crises with the Desalination Plants in India.
Foundation stone ceremony of the proposed desalination plant in Chennai with 150 mld capacity is already carried out. Also, it is located in Nemmeli on the old site. Hence, land allotment of 10.5 Acres has been done.
